ISIAH PETTIGREW AND PETER MARINOPOULOS' FIRST WINS (and ILLINI at Wisconsin Parkside)

ISIAH PETTIGREW & PETER MARINOPOULOS

For Isiah Pettigrew, this was his first ILLINI win as a starter in a dual. It came against SIUE on November 2, 2023 at State Farm Center. The ILLINI went on to win the dual. This was true Freshman Peter Marinopoulos' first ILLINI win of any stripe, and it came at the Lindenwood Open on November 18, 2023. He went on to win the championship. Video credit to BTN for the ILLINI/SIUE dual footage, Brian Swaw analyst. The video from Lindenwood was provided by an ILLINI fan. Music credit to Kansas for their classic "Carry on my wayward son." Also, credit to Audio Beats for the intro and outro music. Photo credits in the intro and outro sequences to FightingILLINI.com, NCAA.com, uiaa.org, wrestlingchangedmylife.com, ILLINOISMatmen.com, flowrestling.com, intermatwrestle.com. Congratulations to the wrestlers, coaches, families, friends and practice partners! This is a great time to be an ILLINI fan. We will be seeing lots of this.
