UPDATE ON FINAL X AND U23 TOURNEYS

FINAL X

The big show will get started in Stillwater, Oklahoma on June 3, and there will be two IRTC Greco wrestlers featured. In their graphic, it looks like USA Wrestling has put the favorites on the left side and the underdogs on the right:

The first matches of the series will be held in session one starting at 2 p.m. CT. Session two featuring match two and three (if necessary) of the series will start at 7 p.m. CT. FloWrestling will provide the live stream.

USAW provided some recent scores for the opponents in these matches, including this information:

TRUE THIRD MATCHES IN STILLWATER

As you can see, Zane Richards is set to kick off Final X with his true-third match against Jakob Camacho at 12:30 pm (Central) in Stillwater. Of course, the IRTC still has Kamal Bey to wrestle in Final X, and he will do so on June 8 in New York.

U20 and U23 World Team Trials

All of the youngsters will be in Geneva, Ohio for U20 and U23 World Team Trials running from June 3-5. They will be contesting both Freestyle and Greco-Roman. The champ at each weight class will represent the United States at the 2022 UWW World Championships.

It appears that FloWrestling will also be handling the live stream for this USAW event.

ILLINI Blog and Forum and Beyond is sure of a couple of things regarding IRTC participation: All of the Brawlnagels will be there, from Danny to Zac to Joey. I think that they should enter the arena for their matches like the Bushwhackers:

Also, Lucas Byrd indicated in an interview that he would be recuperating from a hamstring injury this Summer, so he'll likely be a miss.
