BUILLT HERE: ILLINI Wrestling Coaches Hit the Road!
While you've been spending all your time debating freestyle versus folkstyle in your Bible Study group, the ILLINI coaching staff have hit the road to strengthen personal connections and to make new ones. This is their "BUILLT HERE" campaign. It makes sense, my friends, because if you lock down this state, you could have great to championship-winning wrestling, football and basketball teams each year at the University of ILLINOIS.
Here are some of the great destinations that coaches Poeta, Hunter and Ruth have visited while criss-crossing this beautiful state:
Washington has been a state championship machine for some time now, and it is where ILLINI recruit Kannon Webster calls home. Looks like the Ol' Mat Coach gave somebody there quite a go.
Hitting the rising programs.
You gotta get the farmboys. They're big and strong and tough.
Coach Ruth is still doing his MMA pose. McLove it!
Check out my ILLINI LEGENDS: JORDAN BLANTON interview here for more from the Relentless Training Center. Still more about this place at their official website here. What Coach Poeta says about their staff is no lie. Looking for big things from those guys.
Coach Hunter with the Barbs! I lived in Dekalb for a year growing up. I have fond memories of the place and still like the Huskies.
Coach Ruth and Coach Poeta visiting some training academies. Coach Ruth with the tried and true MMA pose. Since Zac Brunson kinda got shorted on the tweet, I put his picture below:
Those two look like they could win Midlands next season. Did somebody say they were wrestling in the Midlands next year? Stop it! That's how rumors get started.
Izzy Style is a must-stop, and you get to hang with Coach Clark. Very win.
Besides the meet-ups, there are the clinics.
Two ILLINI get top billing on days at this clinic, with Coach Ed Ruth there on June 24th, and ILLINI student-athlete Lucas Byrd headlining on June 20th.
And, finally, you have camps set up by Coach Medlin of the IRTC.
By the way, the answer to that question you've been pondering is this: If you go to a Protestant or Catholic Bible Study, Jesus would do Freestyle. If a Mormon Bible Study, Jesus would do Folkstyle.
