Update on ILLINI Recruits at State

UPDATE ON KOLE, KANNON & WILL, ALSO INCLUDING GHEE RACHAL

I hope they're feeling comfortable at Assembly Hall (State Farm Center), as this will be their home in the future. So far, it seems that way, as Kannon Webster, Kole Brower and Will Baysingar all advance. Additionally, I left out Ghee Rachal in my earlier post. A regrettable mistake. I don't know if he's coming to ILLINOIS next year, but I greedily want all Rachals past, present and future on the team. So, here's Rachal's bracket:

TRACKWRESTLING AND FLO

Navigating around Trackwrestling is like arguing with a Russian who only knows the word, "Nyet." It is always a surprise when I finally find the dashboard or bracket that I'm looking for.

You can almost hear the Trackwrestling program say, "You look for 138 3A Bracket? Nyet! You must produce form MD-217 in triplicate to Moscow Politburo three weeks advance!"

And Flo.

Dude, I paid for an annual subscription, and I still get a stupid advertisement on videos that I watch. Even HBO and Showtime never did that.

KANNON WEBSTER

The kid from Washington has racked up a couple of "Dubs" already, both by pinfall. He has spent a total of 4:31 on the mat in his two matches. Webster could be the winner of the new ILLINOIS Matmen Most Dominant Award for 2A. Here's his bracket so far:

This is a screengrab from that first pin:

Because the cameras pretty much suck and don't move, and the video is choppy, I have only one request for our ILLINI recruits: Pick a nice place in front of the camera for your pins, takedowns and mat returns. After your pins, turn and wink at the camera. Okay, that's two requests, but I don't think it's asking too much.

WILL BAYSINGAR

The 3A kids have only wrestled one match so far at State. Will has gotten off to a great start with a fall in his first match. Here is his bracket so far:

I was going to screengrab Baysingar's pinfall, but this interesting takedown was too good to pass up. I was very impressed! He used leverage and physics to his distinct advantage:

KOLE BROWER

Kole also got only one match in today, as 3A is taking it easy but will start churning tomorrow. He started his journey off with a pin. Here's his bracket so far:

I was going to show Kole's pin as well, but he had too many beautiful takedowns, including strong double legs, a Fireman's and this awesome duckunder:

And you all know that a foot sweep--especially if it scores like this one did--get's special mention at the ILLINI Wrestling Blog and Forum and Beyond!
